The micro finance industry in Cameroon has been enriched with one more institution, Vision Finance S.A. The official inauguration of the Category 2 Micro Finance Institution which promises to be a new vision to inclusive finance in the country took place in Yaounde on Wednesday April 10.
The pioneer General Manager of Vision Finance, Stephanie Boulemou said the official launching of the financial institution was the culmination of seven months of serious collective work that she and her team have been doing.
“My team and I have worked to ensure that what was a dream yesterday becomes reality today,” she said expatiating that the President, Director General of L’Anecdote Group has decided to give a new vision to inclusive finance and the managerial team she heads will ensure the vision is consolidated.
The vision bearer and Board Chair of the financial institution, Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga emphasized that the bank is an inclusive financial institution in Cameroon. He said besides giving the opportunity to every Cameroonian to own a bank account, one of his goals is also job creation and socio-economic insertion of young Cameroonians.
“My vision is in the future and the future is ahead of us, thus it is now that we have to prepare for the future. I thought it was necessary to give a chance to Cameroonians of all walks of life not only to own an account but also to have access to finances,” Amougou Belinga disclosed that his ambition is not only to ensure that Vision Finance is implanted nationally but he intend to spread it tentacles beyond the national borders with plans to cover all the countries of the Central African sub region.
The Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Mfoundi division who chaired the inauguration ceremony hailed the enterprising prowess of Amougou Belinga to whom he pledged government’s total baking.
“Your vision has so many children today. Yesterday was Vision 4 and today is Vision Finance. Who knows, and it is my wish that tomorrow we have Vision Telecom, Vision Foot, Vision Agro-industry…I can already assure you of the support encouragement of public authorities that I am representing here,” the SDO said before moving on to perform ribbon-cutting ritual.
The senior administrative Officer was also taken on a guided tour of the financial institution’s head office and branch officer in Messamendongo before taking part in a sumptuous reception that was offered by Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga.
After Yaounde, the Amougou Belinga and his team were in Douala for the inauguration of the bank’s branch in the economic capital. The ceremony on Friday April 12 was chaired by Littoral regional governor, Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua.
